In 2002, Musician Heather Alexander created a book soundtrack called Inshallah: The Music of Lion's Blood to accompany the novel written by Steven Barnes. Using the traditions of Celtic music and Afro-Arab music, Heather Alexander combines these genres to create a unique mixture that allows readers of Lion's Blood to "hear" the setting of the story. Lines and events from the book are incorporated into lyrics of the songs.
