This blog is a fan-dedication to Lion's Blood, a novel written by Steven Barnes, and its sequel(s).

During the early to mid 2000's, Mr. Barnes had a website (www.lionsblood.com) that explained the details of the book. The website is now defunct, but it can still be accessed via Wayback Machine.

Since reading the book and its sequel many years ago, the author of this blog admired it so much that it was eventually decided that a type of website should be created to discuss the story and express gratitude to Mr. Barnes for writing one of the most unique works of alternate history.

Some of the information presented is copied from the old website and from its Wikipedia article, albeit slightly paraphrased.

The title إن شاء الله‎ (Inshallah) is an Arabic phrase that means "God Willing" and it was the original name of the novel until Mr. Barnes was compelled to change it due to possible negative reception from American audiences toward Muslim-derived names . The name of the book series can be called the Bilalistan or Inshallah series.
