Afro Celt Sound System

Volume 1: Sound Magic, Afro Celt Sound System

When I was searching for examples of "Afro-Celtic music", I found an album from the band called Afro Celt Sound System. The musicians in this group create a fusion of songs that are inspired from Gaelic and West African traditions.

The album is available to listen on YouTube, but you can purchase it from bandcamp or Amazon. After listening to the entire album, I realized that this type of music would be more prevalent in Bilalistan, where slaves of European descent would combine their culture with that of the dominant African culture. I would expect a bit of Arab music to be present in the mixture.

Out of all the songs I listened, my favorite would have to be Dark Moon, High Tide. All of them are great to hear or to dance with.

Although the chances of it are low, I hope that another book soundtrack is released, but this time from Zulu Heart. If not, then the music from the Afro Celt Sound System will serve its purpose. May there be more of this type of music!
