قال المعلم "الله واحد". "إزالة كل ما يشوه أو يعقد."

"ماذا تبقى؟" سأل الطالب.

"ما تبقى في النهاية هو ما كان هناك في البداية."

"وما هذا؟"

"حقيقة."

"God is one," said the Teacher.  "Remove all that distorts or complicates."

"What remains?" asked the student.

"That which remains at the end is what there was in the beginning."
  

"And what is that?"

"Truth."




قال المعلم: "في الكون ، هناك ثلاث قوى: التأكيد ، الإنكار ، والمصالحة".

"كيف يظهر هذا في العالم؟" سأل الطالب.

"في نواح كثيرة. على سبيل المثال: هناك حياة ، هناك موت ، وهناك متعال".

"أنا لا أفهم. هل يمكنك أن تخبرني كيف تظهر هذه القوى في شؤون الرجال؟"

"نعم ، ومن خبرتك الخاصة."

"هناك معلم".

"نعم."

"هناك عبد"

 "نعم."

"وهناك صديق".

توقف الطالب مؤقتًا ، ثم قال: "نعم ، فهمت".

"In the universe," said the Teacher, "There are three forces: affirming, denying, and reconciling."

"How does this manifest in the world?" asked the student.

"In many ways. For instance: There is Life, there is Death, and there is the Transcendent."

"I do not understand. Can you tell me how these forces manifest in the affairs of men?"

"Yes, and from your own experience."

"There is Master."

"Yes."

"There is Slave "

 "Yes."

"And there is Friend."

The student paused, then said, "Yes. I see."




"إن الجانب الخالد الجامح للخالق يضر نفسه بالكون." قال المعلم. "ما لا يمكننا فهمه من عمليته نعتبره أحيانًا معجزة".

"ماذا يدعى؟" سأل الطالب.

"ظهور إلهي."

"وما هو مثال هذه المعجزة؟"

"قال النبي ذات مرة أن هناك ثلاثة أشياء أعطته السلام: الصلاة ، العطر ، والمرأة".

"والمعجزة؟"

"الصلاة تصلنا إلى الإلهية. عطر لعالم الحواس."

"والنساء؟"

ضحك المعلم. "أنا رجل عجوز." قال المعلم. "أنت يا تلميذ ، لديك عمراً من قبل للإجابة على هذا السؤال. سيدي الصغير ، هذه معجزة".

"The unitive-transcendent aspect of the Creator impinges itself upon the universe." said the Teacher.

 "What we cannot understand of his process we sometimes consider miraculous."

"What is this called?" asked the student.

"Theophany."

"And what is an instance of this miracle?"

"The Prophet once said that there were three things that gave him peace: prayer, perfume, and women."

"And the miracle?"

"Prayer joins us to the divine. Perfume to the world of the senses."

"And women?"

The Teacher laughed.  "I am an old man." said teacher. "You, my student, have a lifetime before to answer that question. That, young sir, is a miracle. "




قال المعلم: "إن الكون يعكس الخلفية الإلهية في سمات جوانب الله الوشيكة".

"الجوانب؟" سأل الطالب.

"تسعة وتسعون أسماء الله". قال المعلم

"البداية و النهاية."

"معطي الحياة وأيضاً سبب الوفاة."

"والرحمة ..."

"والغضب؟"

"نعم."

"The universe," said the Teacher, "reflects back divine in the attributes of the imminent aspects of God."

"The aspects?" asked the student.

"The ninety-nine names of God." said the Teacher

"The First and The Last."

"The Giver of life and also The Causer of Death."

"And Mercy..."

"And Wrath?"

"Yes."
